Academic Advisor Resources
The University of Arizona is a large institution with many programs, people and departments available to support students.
It is difficult if not impossible to know everything available, but there are resources to support the academic, social, financial, health and wellness factors impacting student success.
We know academic advisors at the University of Arizona care deeply about our students. Here are some ways SSRI can support you or your students.
- Share success resources with your students.
- Encourage students to engage in help seeking behaviors, like using SOS or Think Tank services.
- Talk to them about Trellis Progress, the Arizona progress report system as they receive feedback.
- Create a culture that celebrates Growth Mindset through your own experiences, or SSRI materials.
- Learn their backgrounds and tell them your story. If you were you a first-generation college student, participate in a training to receive materials you can display or share during courses.
- Support college and institution persistence and completion efforts, participate in the annual Student Success Conference.
- Review reports and data insights on student success.
- Encourage Student Athletes to use support through C.A.T.S. Academics.
- Encourage students enrolled in the SALT Center to use their support options.
- Participate in professional development opportunities from Assessment & Research.
